In a bold step toward economic and cultural resilience, The Underline has officially opened its newest segment in Coconut Grove! Complete with a dynamic market hub, this space is designed to empower local food and retail entrepreneurs.
Stretching from SW 19th Avenue to SW 27th Avenue, this latest phase brings to life a major new feature: Inter Grove Gallery, a 150,000 square-foot activation space purpose-built to celebrate creativity, community, and commerce.
At the heart of this space is The Underline Market, a dedicated hub for food trucks, pop-up kitchens, container vendors, and mobile retailers. Unlike traditional real estate developments that often price out small businesses, Grove Gallery was intentionally designed as a flexible, welcoming space for entrepreneurs to launch, grow, and engage with the community.
South Florida summers have long posed a challenge for the restaurant industry—with reduced foot traffic, increased overhead, and economic uncertainty. The stakes are even higher this year, as small businesses grapple with rising rents and shifting consumer habits.
“The Underline is offering an alternative,” said Lisle Bowen, The Underline’s Chief Marketing Officer, “by giving restaurant owners and local creators a new platform—right in the heart of a growing cultural corridor—to engage directly with their audience and build brand momentum in real time.”
Currently, The Underline is home to four established food and beverage vendors in Brickell, and Inter Grove Gallery offers an opportunity to build on that success, welcoming even more Miami-based businesses into its ecosystem.
The Inter Grove Gallery isn’t just a place to grab a bite—it’s a curated experience.
The space includes:
Over the coming months, The Underline will activate this space with cultural showcases, food markets, health and wellness events, and local music programming, helping turn Inter Grove Gallery into a vibrant destination for both residents and visitors.
This expansion into Coconut Grove underscores The Underline’s mission to be more than just a trail. It’s a platform for opportunity. From fostering economic development to championing local creativity and supporting wellness, The Underline continues to reimagine what public spaces can do for a city.
As Inter Grove Gallery opens, Miami now has even more space to walk, bike, connect, and support local business, all in one place.
