Make Music Day, the annual celebration of music on the summer solstice, returns this year on Tuesday, June 21 to The Underline Brickell Backyard Sound Stage Plaza sponsored by Florida Power & Light. 

Launched in France in 1982 as the Fête de la Musique, Make Music Day is presented in the U.S. by The NAMM Foundation and coordinated by the nonprofit Make Music Alliance. The Underline, located at the corner of SW 1st Avenue and SW 8th Street, will host a diverse lineup of Miami’s favorite music artists beginning at 10 AM. Attendees will enjoy performances by 11-year-old Isabella Vazquez, vocal phenom and winner of Phil Collins’ Little Dreamers contest, Blue Talisman, a Latin singer/songwriter duo fronted by Yesler Cruz, wind virtuoso Damian Sanchez and indie rock outfit Quiana Major.

All Make Music Day events are free and open to the public. Participants who wish to perform or host musical events may register at MakeMusicMiami.org.

This celebration is supported by the Miami Downtown Development Authority, Lincoln Road BID, Miami Beach Arts in the Parks, France Florida Foundation of the Arts, the Cultural Services of the French Embassy and Villa Albertine.
