Welcomed during the November board meeting, Bargas will play a pivotal role in supporting the board's efforts to secure ongoing private and public funding for The Underline. His contributions will be instrumental in raising funds for ongoing operating, maintenance, and programming in the park, crucial to ensuring The Underline is a first-class community amenity and multi-modal corridor for generations to come.

Since 2015, Jordan Bargas has served as the Senior Vice President of Development at Related. After relocating to South Florida in 2022, he has spearheaded Related's development efforts in Miami, overseeing projects such as the acquisition and development of One Brickell City Centre, a 1.5 million square foot Class AA office tower, and a new 450-key Westin Hotel at Miami International Airport. Bargas is also responsible for evaluating new investment opportunities and capital financings, and overseeing asset management for existing properties.

His previous roles at Related include involvement in notable development projects including 55 Hudson Yards and 50 Hudson Yards in New York, as well as the redevelopment of the Farley Post Office. Before joining Related, Bargas worked at Eastdil Secured on the Investment Sales team. Jordan Bargas holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.

As Friends of The Underline delivers a first-class, 120-acre, 10-mile linear park and trail, its board members are committed to advancing the organization's bold vision and goals with their diverse backgrounds and skills. Bargas’ extensive experience with large scale developments and their integration of community spaces is a valuable asset to The Underline’s mission.

“Public greenspaces like the Underline are an essential component of all vibrant cities,” said Jordan Bargas, Senior Vice President, Related Companies. “Living and working in Brickell, I regularly experience the tremendous impact of this unique outdoor space—inspiring wellness and creating opportunities to bring our community together. I am excited to join the team continuing to build what has already become one of Miami’s most beloved landmarks.”

“On behalf of the entire board of directors, we are thrilled that Jordan has joined our board and is eager to bring his talent and time to accelerate our vision and support our mission.  We are excited to see Jordan bring more magic to Miami,” said Meg Daly, Friends of The Underline founder and board chair.
