The Miami Foundation's Public Space Challenge winners show three more ways to enjoy Miami's public spaces. From a funky pop up roller skating rink downtown, to lighting up the leftover space below Metrorail, the public space winners give you three new reasons to love Miami this February. Bring your roller skates and bring your bike to experience illuminating and new corners of our great city.

On Tuesday, 7/14, Mayor Valdes Fauli and Commissioners Lago, Fors, Keon, and Mena unanimously passed a resolution to match Miami-Dade County's landmark $22.3 Million Federal BUILD grant secured in 2019 with a $7 million commitment from the City of Coral Gables.

Health Foundation of South Florida Awards $150,000 grant to The Underline
Miami, FL December, 2019 - Friends of The Underline (FUL), a 501C3 non-profit organization advocating to transform the underutilized land below Miami's Metrorail into a 10-mile linear park, urban trail and canvas for artistic expression, today announced that it has been awarded a $150,000 grant from Health Foundation of South Florida to support community outreach during planning, design, construction and technology master plan.
