Days away from their grand opening, The Underline Conservancy Appoints New Leadership

Introduction
The Underline Management Organization, (dba The Underline Conservancy) is pleased to announce two new members of the board of directors: Nicole Tallman, Director of Legislative Affairs, Office of Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Eli Stiers, founding partner Stiers Law, P.A. Ms. Tallman has been appointed to the board by Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Mr.

The Underline Management Organization, (dba The Underline Conservancy) is pleased to announce two new members of the board of directors: Nicole Tallman, Director of Legislative Affairs, Office of Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Eli Stiers, founding partner Stiers Law, P.A. Ms. Tallman has been appointed to the board by Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Mr. Stiers has been appointed by Friends of The Underline as a board member.  

The Underline Conservancy was created to oversee the management, maintenance, operations and programs of The Underline. The public/private organization board of directors is made up of five appointees from Friends of The Underline and four members from Miami-Dade County including the County Mayor, Department of Transportation and Public Works, Department of Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces and Miami-Dade Transportation Planning Organization.

The Conservancy’s mission is to deliver and maintain a world class 10-mile linear park and urban trail and provide engaging community-based health, wellness, public art, culture and educational programming for all.

“I am honored to join The Underline Conservancy Board of Directors in service to our community and thank Mayor Levine Cava for appointing me to this important post,” said Ms.Tallman. “The Underline is a transformational project that will unite all Miamians while further improving mobility and general quality of life. I look forward to working with my colleagues on the Conservancy and Friends of The Underline to deliver and maintain this beautiful, green oasis for the full enjoyment of all who live, work and play in our world-class community.” 

Mr. Stiers says, “As someone who has worked for more than a decade to make Miami more pedestrian and bicycle friendly, I joined The Underline Conservancy to help realize the positive impact a valuable asset like this 10-mile linear park and off-road urban trail will have on our community. The success of The Underline will serve as a catalyst for those changes throughout greater Miami-Dade county, and  will create a safer, more welcoming community for all .”

Health Foundation of South Florida Awards $150,000 grant to The Underline
Miami, FL December, 2019 - Friends of The Underline (FUL), a 501C3 non-profit organization advocating to transform the underutilized land below Miami's Metrorail into a 10-mile linear park, urban trail and canvas for artistic expression, today announced that it has been awarded a $150,000 grant from Health Foundation of South Florida to support community outreach during planning, design, construction and technology master plan.
