Miami-Dade County Transit and Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Departments, in partnership with Friends of The Underline, seeked public input concerning the proposed master plan for The Underline.The Underline is a 10-mile stretch of biking and pedestrian trails and park spaces located beneath the county’s Metrorail between the Miami River north of Brickell and Dadeland South stations.Two public meetings were scheduled in June, and area residents, business owners and visitors were encouraged to attend and participate in the interactive discussions:THE UNDERLINE PUBLIC MEETING: BRICKELL AREA TO COCONUT GROVEThis meeting took place on Tuesday, June 23, 6-8 p.m. Vizcaya Village, Frost Museum of Science, 3280 South Miami Ave., Miami, FL 33129 for residents in the Brickell, Vizcaya, Roads, Shenandoah, Silver Bluff, neighboring communities and Coconut Grove areas. The vision for The Underline is to create a linear park and urban trail that will enhance connectivity, mobility, and biking safety for thousands of Miami-Dade residents and visitors.
