Underline Public Meetings: June 23 & 25

Introduction
Miami-Dade County Transit and Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Departments, in partnership with Friends of The Underline, seeked public input concerning the proposed master plan for The Underline. The Underline is a 10-mile stretch of biking and pedestrian trails and park spaces located beneath the county’s Metrorail between the Miami River north of Brickell and Dadeland South stations. Two public meetings were scheduled in June, and area residents, business owners and visitors were encouraged to attend and participate in the interactive discussions: THE UNDERLINE PUBLIC MEETING: BRICKELL AREA TO COCONUT GROVE This meeting took place on Tuesday, June 23, 6-8 p.m.

Approximately 200 people attended. Click here for a video of the public meetingTHE UNDERLINE PUBLIC MEETING: CORAL GABLES TO DADELAND SOUTHThis meeting took place on Thursday, June 25, 6-8 p.m. Temple Judea, 5500 Granada Blvd., Coral Gables, FL 33146 for residents in Coral Gables and South Miami to Dadeland South Metrorail Station, Approximately 200 people attended. Click here for video of the public meetingEach meeting lasted 2 hours and was designed to gather feedback on preliminary designs prepared by James Corner Field Operations. The vision for The Underline is to create a linear park and urban trail that will enhance connectivity, mobility, and biking safety for thousands of Miami-Dade residents and visitors.
