Vote to Bring Free Concerts to Miami on The Underline

Sep 4, 2025
by The Underline
Introduction
Imagine walking under the Metrorail and hearing live music that reflects the sounds of our city — salsa one week, indie rock the next, gospel, jazz, Afro-Caribbean rhythms, and more. That’s the future we can create together. The Underline is honored to be considered for the Levitt Foundation grant, which would give us the opportunity to host free concerts right here in Miami.

This national program helps reimagine public spaces by transforming them into stages for community connection, and now, Miami has a chance to join cities across the country in this powerful movement.

Winning this grant means more than concerts:

  • Diverse Programming: We plan to curate performances that reflect the neighborhoods and cultures of South Florida, celebrating the unique rhythm of our city.
  • Supporting Local Artists: The Underline will serve as a platform for Miami’s emerging and established talent, giving them new audiences and new opportunities.
  • Strengthening Public Spaces: This is another example of how The Underline demonstrates the power of public space to connect people, strengthen communities, and create shared experiences that make cities thrive.

But here’s where we need you: the winner is decided by community vote.

📅 Voting runs September 5–15, 2025, and every single vote brings us closer to filling Miami with free music for everyone.

To vote go to levitt.org/vote OR Text “MIAMI” to 877-409-5525

Join us in shaping the future of The Underline — one note, one song, and one community at a time. Together, we can make Miami sing.
