Day in the Dirt - Demonstration Garden
Join us for a special Day in the Dirt sponsored by Athletic Brewing Co.
Help install The Underline's first demonstration garden! Come join neighbors and community members as we transform a space adjecent to the Hammock Playground into a beautiful garden, highlighting how native species of plants can enhance public spaces.
📍 March 7th Planting Location: Hammock Playground, located at 1523 SW 1st Avenue, 33129.
Time: 8am - 11am
Volunteers:
- Wear clothes that you wouldn’t mind getting dirty.
- Conduct plant bed maintenance led by The Underline’s horticulturist and the horticulture team.
- Will be provided with gardening tools and gloves.
- Wear comfortable shoes, apply sunscreen, bring hydration and a hat.
Getting there on March 7th: Hammock Playground
🚆 Transportation: Take the Metrorail to the Brickell Station, exit south, and head toward the Hammock Playground for 15 minute walk.
🚗 Parking: Metered parking is available on SW 1st Avenue, and along SW 15th Road.
Walk or bike (bike racks are located at the Hammock Playground) located on SW 15th Road and SW 1st Avenue.
