Family Day | Inter Grove Gallery
Family Day returns to The Underline on February 7th at the Inter Grove Gallery.
Calling all parents and kiddos.
Join us on The Underline for our first art- and music-filled family day of the year—completely free.
This one is going to be one for the books because we’re collaborating with COOLTURE, an immersive cultural festival designed just for children and families.
⏱️ WHEN: Saturday, February 7th, 2026 at 10 AM to 1 PM

🎉What to Expect:
We’ll have hands-on creative exploration with art, music, dance, and storytelling across three rotating stations.
Upon entry, you’ll receive a Passport to Culture, which you can take around to earn stamps at each station.
🎼Mini Maestros
- Decorate percussion instruments
- Design a collage
- Craft a mask
- Create your flag
📖Story and Sound Corner
- Hear folktales from bilingual Caribbean, Latin, and African storytellers
- Sway to rhythmic acoustic sets played between stories
💃🏽Movement Moment
- Warm up by learning moves inspired by Latin music
- Get going with a kids’ dance workshop featuring Caribbean music
- Close out with drumming in a jam circle
After working up a sweat with all that dancing and music-making, kids can cool down with fresh-squeezed juices from the good folks at Froot Juice.
Getting There: Take Metrorail to the Coconut Grove Metrorail station and cross SW 27th Avenue to the north side of The Underline or walk or bike. If you drive, there is parking at the Coconut Grove Metrorail and limited paid parking on the street nearby. Or rideshare!
