Introduction
For close to two decades Miami has been through an art renaissance that has established its world-recognized reputation in the art world. Public art in Miami, however, has played a longer role in building culture for the city through Miami-Dade County Art in Public Places. Since The Underline is located on public land and is partnered with Miami-Dade County’s Department of Transportation and Public Works, it also works with Art in Public Places to bring art to our 10-mile linear park.
