Join us for an engaging outdoor workshop exploring the vital connection between Miami’s urban forests and our precious waterways!
Led by Miami Waterkeeper, this interactive experience will highlight the importance of green infrastructure in protecting our local water systems.
During this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how native plants filter water and prevent runoff, discover the critical role of urban forests in Miami’s ecosystem, and participate in demonstrations showcasing green infrastructure solutions being implemented through Miami Waterkeeper’s Accelerator Project.
You’ll leave with practical knowledge about protecting Miami’s waterways and the opportunity to take home native plant information.
This is the first in a series of three urban forestry workshops made possible by the Friends of The Underline supported by the Forest Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Growing Miami’s Green Corridor: Cultivating Community Environmental Stewards. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with nature and learn how you can contribute to a more resilient Miami!
